New manuscript published in the Inclusive Science themed issue of Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education!

Congrats to Laura Ott (CNMS), Linda Hodges (Faculty Development Center), and Bill LaCourse (CNMS and Chemistry) on the publication of their recent manuscript in the Inclusive Science-themed issue of the Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education.  This manuscript describes the experiences of American Sign Language Interpreters who support deaf students in mentored teams that consist of hearing and deaf individuals.  The ASL interpreters highlight their role in supporting both deaf and hearing individuals and unique challenges they face in deciding when and how to interpret in a research environment.

New manuscript published in the Journal of College Science Teaching!

Congrats to Eric Anderson (Physics), Tara Carpenter (Chemistry), Lili Cui (Physics), Beth Feeser (Biological Sciences) and Tiffany Gierasch (Chemistry) on the publication of their recent manuscript in the Journal of College Science Teaching.  Their work describes student perceptions to clickers in large lecture biology, chemistry, and physics courses and they provide some interesting insight into the students’ perceived benefits of clickers.  This work was done in collaboration with Linda Hodges (Faculty Development Center).
